BRIEF
Soy Risk Brief
Understand your soy footprint and the ESG risk
Are you aware of the risks related to the hidden soy in your supply chain?
Soy is everywhere – even where you least expect it.
From meat, dairy, and eggs to fish and seafood, soy hides in plain sight, primarily as animal feed. But the global demand for soy entails a risk of deforestation and conversion, climate change, and human rights violations.
To explain these risks, Ethical Trade Denmark in collaboration with the Danish Alliance for Responsible Soy has developed a two-page ‘Soy Risk Brief’, openly available for everyone in both Danish and English.
Read our new brief and increase your understanding of the ESG risks related to soy in various food products.
In the brief, you’ll get:
- Insight into the soy footprint of various food products
- An overview of key ESG risks
- Suggestions for how to take action
Who is the brief for?
Representatives of food and feed sector companies, as well as retailers with broad product portfolios.
The Danish Alliance for Responsible Soy is part of a broader network of European National Soy
Initiatives (ENSI) – soy initiatives acting at global and national levels, in most cases going beyond the requirements of emerging regulations, such as the EUDR in Europe, and all aligned to the Accountability Framework initiative (AFi).
All these national soy initiatives have a common goal to work to eliminate deforestation and land conversion by 2025. Contact us if you want to join one of the initiatives.
