2nd Module: Due Diligence – Responsible purchasing practices and internal operations
Learn how to integrate risk and impact identification in purchasing and internal operations
This is Module 2 (out of 3) on due diligence, “Responsible Business Conduct” – held in Copenhagen and conducted in English. You can take any module individually, or all three depending on what fits your needs. Participants who complete all three modules will receive a *diploma.
You have a due diligence or human rights policy and you’ve conducted your first risk and impact assessments, how do you move forward and integrate this knowledge in your operations and purchasing practices? In this module, you will learn the fundamentals of internal integration after risk assessments have been conducted, with a particular focus on responsible purchasing practices and how changing your practices can have an impact on suppliers performance and engagement, their workers, and conditions across the value chain. We place particular emphasis on engaging suppliers as key stakeholders to uncover blind spots and strengthen your efforts to create business value.
By the end of this module, you will be able to:
- Understand the link between purchasing practices and risks /impacts in the value chain
- Implement concrete RPP measures that support your company’s due diligence efforts and risk management, after you have identified risks and impacts
- Engage suppliers and other stakeholders to strengthen risk assessment and drive lasting improvements and business value
