Module 1: Due Diligence – from commitment to action
Learn how to move from high-level policies to concrete actions to build your due diligence program.
This is Module 1 (out of 3) on due diligence, “Responsible Business Conduct” – held in Copenhagen and conducted in English.
You can take any module individually, or all three depending on what fits your needs. Participants who complete all three modules will receive a *diploma.
How can companies ensure that their work on responsible business conduct goes beyond a desk exercise? Many organizations struggle to get off to a strong start when translating international guidelines such as the UNGPs and OECD Guidelines into practice. Through presentations, case studies, and real-life exercises, you will gain insight into how to approach value chain mapping, risk and impact assessments, internal governance and stakeholder engagement – both strategically and operationally.
By the end of this module, you will be able to:
- Understand and apply the first three steps of the OECD Due Diligence process: 1. Policy Commitment; 2. Impact and Risk Assessment; 3. Integration of Findings
- Identify and prioritize risks within your value chain
- Engage relevant stakeholders to strengthen your due diligence approach
- Draw inspiration from peers
