Kick-off Meeting for the new Danish Food Community of Practice
How can we increase resilience and secure the future supply of fruit and nut -based products to Denmark?
Ethical Trade Denmark invites all relevant stakeholders and companies for the kick off meeting for the new Food Community of Practice, developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
This new Food Community of Practice aims to support ambitious Danish food companies and their value chain partners in the fruit & nut sector to address and respond to central ESG risks, to enable more responsible international trade, long term security of supply and climate resilience.
The meeting will present the plans and activities for this new initiative as well as a ‘hot spot’ map with important product/origin combinations that has been developed to kick-start the work in this community.
What can participants expect to gain for Ethical Trade’s new Food Community of Practice?
- Joint mapping of high priority products/countries with ESG risks
- Insights into new market opportunities, suppliers and partners
- Inspiration and ideas on how to increase supply chain resilience and long-term security of supply
- Practical tools for better buying practices and shared value in long
value chains, with intermediaries. - Access to investments and local value chain partners
Target group:
Procurement, ESG & Sustainability managers, quality managers, as well as relevant professionals working in the fields of responsible supply chains, financing, social and environmental sustainability and/or innovation. The community aims to engage with representatives of companies and suppliers, public buyers, civil society, financers, business associations and experts.
