Alliance for Responsible Green Energy – first meeting

First meeting in the newly established Alliance for responsible green energy.

At this meeting, we will discuss responsible sourcing of raw materials for the energy transition – and opportunities to act and promote sustainability in the outermost ends of the value chain.

Alliance members Oxfam Denmark and Ørsted will share perspectives. A detailed programme is is to be announced

About the Alliance for responsible green energy:  This new initiative is established to address the negative impacts on human rights, labour rights, climate and environment widespread in the value chains behind the transition to renewable energy.

The Alliance gathers actors across the member groups of Ethical Trade Denmark: Companies, civil society, trade union, business authorities and public organisations, to exchange knowledge, share and discuss challenges and solutions, and identify and map concrete activities, tools and best practice which can contribute to strengthen responsible business conduct and cooperation related to sourcing for and establishing projects in the transition to renewable energy.
