Member network: ESG & Stakeholder

At our 1^st annual network meeting in 2025, we zoom in on a political process, which to most of our larger company members has been unpredictable and challenging to navigate.

Published on February 26, 2025, the ESG Omnibus Package is an initiative from the European Commission aimed at simplifying and reducing the administrative burden of sustainability reporting—without weakening the EU’s climate and sustainability goals.

By proposing to e.g., higher the size threshold for CSRD Compliance, delay the reporting deadline, reduce the number of required data points, and allow companies to focus the due diligence efforts mandated by CSDDD on direct suppliers only, the Omnibus proposal is expected to have significant consequences for the large companies that remain within scope.

At the meeting, the companies discuss existing strategies to navigate the process, lean from each other, and gain mutual inspiration to continue their important work in favor of a more sustainable planet.
