NETVÆRK
ESG & Stakeholder Engagement
Network for large companies operating globally and integrating ESG in their value chains
Responsibility in a Changing World
The network is for our largest production, consumer goods, and processing companies with global purchasing, sales and project operations. We zoom in on the reality facing global matrix companies with deeply complex value chains — and on what it actually takes to bring ESG strategies and policies to life.
Our network is intentionally small, and we offer a confidential space where members can speak openly about how to manage ESG risks and strategies effectively — and how to not just make progress, but document and communicate it.
What’s in it for you?
Members get guidance from the Secretariat, through expert advice and access to our multi-stakeholder insights, and together explore topics, dilemmas, regulatory and resilience trends to improve their own approaches to managing sustainability, human rights and ESG integration.
The network is a strong platform for sharing knowledge and going deep into topical themes together with expert peers. As our member representative from Ørsted puts it:
“The network gives us access to the latest ESG trends and relevant regulatory topics, which strengthens our strategic work on responsible value chains. It creates a unique framework for knowledge-sharing and dialogue with like-minded companies and relevant stakeholders, supporting our work on due diligence and stakeholder engagement.“
Meetings and themes
We hold three network meetings a year, hosted on a rotating basis by members in Sjælland and Jylland. Themes, talks, and cases are shaped together with the host. All meetings and activities are held in English.
Relevant civil society representatives and external experts join on an ad hoc basis, so companies can shape their goals and strategies together with the parties affected by their activities.
Who can join?
This network is for our largest member companies in production, consumer goods, and industrials with significant global procurement activity.
We aim for parity among participants in seniority and mandate. The main network contact is senior, with responsibility for responsible business conduct across the value chain — for example, in ESG/sustainability, procurement, product development, or ERM. This ensures the strategic overview needed to bring in the right colleagues from across the company as issues arise.
